Vampire Shark Weekend is a band that began as the result of the Rock Band Summer Program at Clarizio Music in Point Pleasant, NJ. The talent and hard work of these students brought them to this performance at the Ocean of Love benefit concert on August 19th 2017.The 12 bar blues song, Hound Dog was written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. It was originally rerecorded by Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton on August 13, 1952 and was later recorded by Elvis Presley in July 1956. Elvis's version sold about 10 million copies around the world making it one of the best selling singles of all time.
