Ashley McGinnis has been helping students of all ages explore their love of music for over eight years. She first began teaching while attending UC Santa Cruz, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance and Opera. After graduating, Ashley partnered with Village Center for the Arts in Pleasant Hill as a private and group music instructor. She also directed musicals and taught after school enrichment classes at local elementary and middle schools in the Bay Area.
Ashley moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and opened her own music studio for voice and piano students. She served as Music Director for Sunset Theatre Company in Redondo Beach for four years and received a nomination from the National Youth Arts Awards for Best Musical Direction for “The Addams Family”. She also had the pleasure of teaching an Orff based general music program at Laurence School in Van Nuys, and serving on the executive board of the LA chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
After living in California for ten years, Ashley is excited to be back in her home state of New Jersey, sharing her passion for music and her experience as an educator with the Clarizio community! Ashley currently teaches voice lessons, piano lessons, and early childhood music classes.
