David Buckle

David has received his Bachelors of Music degree in Music Education and a Minor in
Conducting from Berklee College of Music. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Music
Education at Rutgers University. He has studied with prestigious trumpeters such as Charles
Lewis, Jeff Stout, Bobby Gallegos, Greg Hopkins, Sean Jones, Lin Biviano, and has had training
with players that have performed with James Brown, Beyonce, and Marc Anthony. David still
performs today in various bands and brass ensembles playing Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium,
Baritone Horn, French Horn, and Tuba.
David has performed lead trumpet with many ensembles at Berklee College of Music such as
the James Brown Ensemble, Salsa Ensemble, various combo and big band ensembles and the
Berklee Symphonic Winds where he was also a student conductor. He has performed with other
institutions like Boston Conservatory and the Boston College "Screaming Eagles" Marching
Band and their jazz ensemble BC bOp. Other prestigious groups he has performed with were
The Boston Pops, The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, and his own group Chamber Groove
Company.
In 2018, David became a Grammy nominated Music Educator. Currently, he is an Instrumental
Music teacher at Old Bridge Public School District, Brass Tech Head, and Arranger. He works
with their marching band and is the High School Jazz Band Director and Director of the Middle
School Indoor Percussion program. He teaches all band instruments from beginning to
advanced levels as well as orchestral instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
