Doug Miller

Piano, Voice, Guitar, Percussion & Beginner Band

Douglass Miller holds a Bachelors of Science in Music Education degree from Kutztown University, a Masters of Music in Music Technology from Southern Utah University, and holds a PA and NJ teaching certification. He is a Pro Tools Certified Specialist, a Sabian Endorsed artist, a national clinician, and an international performing artist.

Doug is currently the 5th grade Band Director at Point Pleasant schools, teaching the concert band. Previously he was the Band Director at Toms River high school East, a position he has held for 7years. He has taught Concert and Marching band, Jazz band, Music Technology, Theory and AP theory, Songwriting, General Music, Rock and Roll, Film music, and Percussion Ensemble over the years.

Doug has experience in curriculum writing for the high school Music Technology, Guitar, Drumset, and a Songwriting curriculum.

He is a national guest conductor and clinician for high school concert/marching bands, as well as a composer/arranger for marching percussion drumline and front ensemble field shows for the competitive and non- competitive field shows.

He gives music lessons specifically on marching percussion, mallet percussion, drum set, guitar, bass, piano, and voice.

Aside from being an active professional musician playing with solo artists, pit orchestras, and recording sessions, Doug is very active in music technology. He runs a small recording studio where he records solo to full length professional albums for local musicians.
